The social and cultural aspects are still placed in the last place in development. Social and cultural issues that are identified with the behavior and level of community welfare in Indonesia are still always used as objects of development discourse, which never ends in reality. In fact, many also blame and take advantage of unfavorable events (disasters, outbreaks, etc.) in the community, as objects of research, assistance, or development.

Biophysics and Conservation

As one of the mega-biodiversity countries, Indonesia has not been able to implement conservation principles appropriately and correctly in various fields of development.

In principle, conservation contains aspects of protection, preservation and utilization of natural resources. That is, the implementation of sustainable development must be in harmony with the rules of ecological conservation, as well as economically feasible, fair, socially-culturally ethical.

In addition to the need for an internal working study, the RIAPINDO’s Biophysical and Conservation Analysis Laboratory is also intended for the measurement, assessment and basis of determining the feasibility and benchmarks of the success of businesses, both profit and non-profit, which will or have been carried out by other stakeholders (private, government, institutions, communities) in the utilization of natural resources, ecologically.

Together with other supporting fields, the results of this biophysical and conservation analysis will be integrated into an appropriate business plan, in accordance with the diversification of the Indonesian ecological character, realistic, guaranteed sustainability, and can be implemented in its implementation.

Legal-Formal and Institutional Analysis

Good governance as the demands of the era of reform, decentralization and globalization are still being rolled out. Regulation and consistency of regulations are one of the instruments of legal certainty and certainty of various development efforts in Indonesia.

Policy studies, along with their hierarchy and development, are the concern of the RIAPINDO’s Legal-Formal and Institutional Analysis Laboratory in relation to the utilization of natural resources, to always be evaluated, monitored and developed.
